"Be prepared to be shocked!" This is how Nightclub and Bar
magazine (Nov. 2000) introduces this unique new beverage.
It is the only vodka with an infusion of wild Bilberries
that is commercially available in the US. It has a reduced
alcohol content and a sweetly smooth finish.
The Jewel of Russia Wild Bilberry Infusion is made according
to an ancient traditional recipe by infusing handpicked
wild Bilberries with fine Russian vodka. Bilberries are
native to Northern Russia, and grow on mountainsides.
Bilberries are related to Lingonberries and are thought
to have a general healthy action.
The ingredients used are extremely fresh and undergo only
traditional treatment to preserve the natural taste of
the fruit. The berries are not cultivated. These are wild
Bilberries, picked by hand. They are crushed and soaked
in Premium vodka. The vodka-Bilberry infusion then sets
for a period of time and then is filtered and bottled
on premises. The intense flavor and aroma that results
from the infusion far surpasses any flavored vodkas and
the existing popular vodka-juice compounds.
These rare Russian berries, married with premium vodka
create a unique drink, described by the Beverage Tasting
Institute of Chicago in the following terms: "Soft texture.
Very exotic flavorings; chocolate, cherries and sweet
liqueur-like components".most interesting." (Click on
the "Critics Choice" page for more ratings and comments).
Russian nobles developed and perfected this traditional
low-alcohol vodka-based drink over 300 years ago. With
its introduction in the United States, American consumers
have an exceptional opportunity to unveil this precious
heritage of old Russia.
